For a quicker and easier widget implementation we recommend you to use the <article> tag for your article content and the following Open Graph meta elements:
An example from NY Times:
<meta property="article:published" content="2017-07-12T20:11:38-04:00">
<meta property="article:section" content="Tennis">
<meta property="og:title" content="Wimbledon: Roger Federer Shapes Up as Man to Beat in Semifinals">
<meta property="og:description" content="The No. 3 seed, at nearly 36, will meet 11th-seeded Tomas Berdych for the right to face No. 7 Marin Cilic or No. 24 Sam Querrey for the title.">
<meta property="og:image" content="https://static01.nyt.com/images/2017/07/13/sports/13-Y-TENNIS-1/13-Y-TENNIS-1-facebookJumbo.jpg">
<article id="story" class="story theme-main">
An extra advantage of using these meta elements is that your site will show the right meta information in social media websites like Facebook and Twitter.
If you can’t or do not wish to use our recommended meta elements we will need to adjust our script for importing your content.
The publishing date has to be in YYYY-MM-DD format for us to use though.
Adapting our script means that it will take longer time before your widget will be active.
