When we talk about an impression, we always mean a viewable impression (the article or ad is visible to the user). Our impression tracking is using a background-image for measuring this.
- When a user scrolls down to our widget an event is triggered registering an impression for every recommendation in the widget. The widget is in-view when the whole image in the first row is visible in the browser.
Not an impression
- The widget has been loaded but the recommendations are not visible on the screen
- Scrolling back and forth between having widget in-view, only counts as one impression per recommendation
